The Fortune That Ignited My Path
In 2017, I was playing the popular title "H1Z1" with a friend who seemed to have every expensive skin in the game. In awe, I continually questioned how he was able to have thousands of dollars worth of skins at 15 years old. Come to find out, his wealth was from investing in Bitcoin. In our young eyes, he had infinite money. Each time he spent some cash, the following day Bitcoin would climb higher refilling his spendings. This was the start to my obsession of obtaining financial freedom.
Penny Stocks - A Glimmer of Hope
Crypto was already at all time highs and I was very young with only a little bit of money. I had to try something else, so I stumbled across penny stocks which were perfect because I could get started with only a few hundred dollars. I joined a discord called Wiseguy Investing, and met Blake Rocha. Blake is now a huge influencer who runs Airbnb's along with other projects. However, this gave me a great introduction to business and investing.
Options Trading
After I struggled to see returns in penny stocks due to low capital, I found Options. Options trading allows you to turn fifty bucks into thousands in a few hours. But, if you don't know what you're doing, you can turn fifty bucks into zero in a few seconds as well. I found a new discord called Trendline Trading where I would meet other traders who really had it figured out.
Getting Mentored
Options showed me how to gamble and manage my risk but I realized I was never going to gamble my way to wealth. So, I found TJRTrading, and invested in his mentorship for $100 a month. I began trading Forex and Futures. I learned about ICT concepts and began trying to pass funded accounts in order to achieve payouts.
The Mentor of My Mentor
TJR was an amazing mentor, but the concepts he uses were put together by a trader that goes by ICT. I had some successes as a TJR student, but not enough to satisfy my desires. So, I figured if TJR learned from ICT, I should too. I began watching the 2022 mentorship and it clarified many uncertainties from my previous learnings with TJR. I now was sure I had the correct information to move forward with.
Narrowing My Focus
After TJR and ICT, I was in a pretty good place. However, I still felt like I was focusing on too many things at once. I then came across Ash Trades. Ash simplifies ICT concepts and trades what is called the Unicorn Model. The Unicorn is a pattern that ICT taught which combines the best parts from the 2022 model. In simple terms, the Unicorn Model combines the highest probability confluences from the 2022 mentorship into one clear and simple entry function.
Where I Am Today
Today, I teach the Unicorn Model to others and continue to grow as a trader myself.
