EDU 2200 Projects

Project 1:    I designed my own home page. I tried to maintain a theme of world view. I prefer keeping graphics and colors to a minimum as I fee too much color
                  and flash distracts the user from the contents of the page.Design your index.html file. I created a link to e-mail me, links to my projects and my helpful                       resource links. The photos used are my own personal photos so there is no copyright problem.

Project 2:   I created my resume using the Joy Maril educator's model resume  from EIU Career Services and linked it in pdf form to my front page.

Project 3:   I posted a link to my del.icio.us account, then also posted additional resources that I particularly wanted to highlight for my page visitors.

Project 4:   I posted a link to Mrs. Levin's Pre-K class and discussed the value of her website layout and content. I also briefly mentioned Mrs. Bradley's    
                 kindergarten site for its use of blog format and its heavy usage of classroom podcasts and vodcasts.

Project 5:   I created a personal page with information about myself complete with photos, relevant links and video.

Project 6:   I selected Childhood Obesity as my curriculum theme. My essential question become about parental prevention, "What can parents do to prevent    
                  childhood obesity?" I provided a bulletted list of rationale statements explaining the benefits of awareness about childhood obesity and the benefits of
                  prevention.  I eva.uated the website HealthierUS.gov using evaluation categories for excellence based on web site criteria for teacher/student
                  use specific to childhood obesity. 

Project 7:   I used Inspiration software to develop avenues for exploration of the parental prevantion fo chidhood obesity.I exported the Inspiration concept map as
                  a .gif file and imported it onto a Composer page and linked it from my curriculum theme page.


Project 8:   Using Excel and the GraphingWizard I created a grah of mathematical analysis related to the epidemic of childhood obesity in the USA. I posted this
                  link to my curriculum theme page as well.

Project 9:   Omitted for Summer 2008

Project 10:   I evaluated a WebQuest closely related to the prevention of childhood obesity. I linked the URL of it to my curriculum page.

Project 11:   Using Audacity software, I create a podcast explaining the importance and extent of the prevention of chidhood obesity.
