To enter into Movie maker –
Start
All Programs
Windows Movie Maker
To Begin
Project:
File
New Project
1.
Creating Page One and Inserting text before, after, and on
pictures…
Tools
Titles
and Credits
Add
title at the beginning of the movie, etc.
Type
what you want the slide to say, you can also change the title animation, text
font and color on this screen.
News video, inset is nice.
So is Newsbanner. Newspaper will make a nice effect
sometime for the group that is reporting.
2.
Inserting Pictures
Capture Video
Import pictures
At
look in :
______________ select the drive you have the pictures in, this may be the
flash drive (E or F) or the CD drive (D). This will bring the picture into the
collection. Then drag and drop the
picture name into the storyboard below.
3.
Import audio or music:
Look
in: Keep using the up arrow until you get to CD Drive (D): or the location of
the music file.
Audio may only be added in the timeline view.
** Up to 10%,
but in no event more than 30 seconds, of the musicworks may be reproduced as part of a multimedia
project.
In
your credits, be sure to identify the artist, songwriter, the record company and
date of publication. Use the
copyright symbol. You do this by
going to Insert/Symbol/and finding the ©.
You
may adjust (Shrink or move) the audio by dragging it with your mouse in timeline
view.
4. Importing Video
We can shoot a video message from you using the digital camera. All you have to do is hit the red record button on the digital camera. Then we will insert the video using the SD card.
5.
Inserting a sound file of your voice:
We
can record your voice using a microphone attached to the computer. See the Inserting a sound file document
for further instructions, and I’ll be able to walk you through it.
After you have inserting your video, music and picture files you can adjust the length of time the pictures are displayed and the music is played in the Timeline feature.
Saving the
movie:
If there are still changes that
need to be made save it in the following way:
File
Save Project As..
_____________ (use lower case
and no more than 6 characters)
Then when you open it again you
will do the following:
File
Open
Project
Look in: My
Videos
Select your
file
When you are Completely done and happy with the project you can save it to
a CD. You can’t change it from the
CD once it’s saved on the CD.
However, as long as it is saved as a project you can go back and edit
that.
You can send it in an e mail if
it is less than 1 MB in size.
You can save it to a
CD.
If it weren’t a security issue
we could post it to the internet.
Since first names are used with only one person on the picture I will not
post it to the internet.
