Project 2:
I created my
resume according to the Joy Maril educator's model resume from
EIU Career Services.
I saved the
MSWord file as a .pdf file,
using the Adobe software. I named my file resume.pdf,
and posted it
to the server. I linked my resume to this
projects page and also directly to my index page.
Project 3:
I posted a web resources page, a closet file of my most
frequently
used
professional, academic, and
personal Web resources on a delicious account.
For each site I saved, I displayed the
title, URL, and a few words (caption) about what I found there.
I
tagged my sites with categories
meaningful to me.
Project
6: I
selected a curriculum theme, according the the categories listed in the
course calendar link. For my curriculum
theme, I chose to study the novel The
Giver. I framed my theme as an essential question.
I referred
to
Essential
Questions links. I carefully researched my theme.
I anticipated using these strategies when developing an inegrated
teaching
unit for my future class.
I provided a bulleted list of rationale statements explaining the
reasons
for
and
potential benefits of studying this theme.
I used evaluation categories to review an excellent Web site as a
teacher
and/or student resource for this
curriculum theme.
I used the essential question as the title of
my page, followed by the bulleted rationale,
and site evaluation.
My site evaluation consisted of narrative
paragraphs for each evaluation
category: Accuracy and Authority,
Content Relevance, Currency,
and Coverage, Design and
Navigation, and Additional Resources.
I prominently displayed the site title
and as a link to the reviewed site centered at the head of my
review.
I gave specific
examples from
the selected site in each of my narrative paragraphs to justify my
evaluation.
I named
my file currtheme.html. I designed, linked, and posted the
curriculum
theme and site on my evaluation page.
Project 7:
I used
Inspiration software to develop avenues for exploration of the
curriculum
theme. I exported (used the File
drop-down menu to find the export command) the Inspiration concept map
as a .gif file and
imported it onto a Composer page. I posted this page (conceptmap.html)
and the .gif file to the Web.
I linked the concept map here and on the
Curriculum Theme page.
Project 8:
I used
Excel and the GraphingWizard for a mathematical analysis related to my
curriculum investigation.
I displayed my data and post my graph to the Web according to the
tutorial
in the Fewell/Gibbs text.
I named this file graph.html. I linked my graph here and on my
Curriculum Theme page.
Project 9:
I created a SmartBoard Activity in
support of my curriculum theme. I linked the activity to
Project 6.
Project 10:
I evaluated a
WebQuest or Web Inquiry Project
closely related to my
curriculum
theme. I applied Illinois
content standards for technology and ISTE standards which are met in my
WQ/WIP. I used
categories provided in the evaluation
form linked here and
provided in hardcopy in my course
packet. I turned in a
hard copy page of the applied standards and a hard copy of the WQ or
WIP evaluation with my margin notes
explaining my rating.
| Project 12: | Using PowerPoint software, I created a presentation on a Computer Ethics topic. My presentation included explanation of the issue, my personal experience of the issue, and my current position on the issue. Appropriate links were imbedded in the presentation. I saved the presentation as a .mht file and link to Project 12, this page, with the disclaimer that the presentation as linked on the Web, cannot be read in Netscape. (Use Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) |
