About Me:
Chrystal Holmes
My
name is Chrystal Holmes. I am a post-baccalaureate student at Eastern
Illinois University
in Charleston, where I am pursuing my teaching certification. I
received my bachelor's degree
in journalism from Eastern in 1988, and have now returned to pursue my
degree in elementary
education with a middle school option. I am specializing in language
arts. My background
in journalism -- including 20 years in the newspaper business -- adds
to the education
I am currently receiving to maximize my potential in the classroom as a
language arts teacher.
I live in Lawrenceville, with my husband, Chris, our two
daughters,
Hannah and Heather, and our dog, Tobey Jack. During the school year, I
work as
a substitute teacher in Lawrence County schools.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, music, and travel --
especially to
the beach!
